Kickbike Team for Sleepless in the Saddle

Disley, a rower who uses a Kickbike for training, is putting together an Oxford
University team to enter the 24h mountain bike race ‘Sleepless in the
Saddle’. The race is over the August Bank Holiday weekend 27-28th August
at Catton Park, roughly halfway between Burton on Trent (Burton bitter!) and
Lichfield off the M42. If you are interested in entering a Kickbike team – let
me know using the ‘Contact Us’ email page on the website. You
can find out about the race and get entry forms at www.sleeplessinthesaddle.co.uk – go
for it!
Note also that a similar 24h mountain bike relay race ‘Mountain Mayhem’ is
being held again at Easnor Castle, close to Malvern on the June 25-26th weekend.
Easnor is a smashing venue for a camping/riding weekend. You might remember
that we had a team enter last year who did sixteen 10mile laps over the 24hours
in appalling conditions and came 62nd out of 252 mountain bike teams on a
production XC Kickbike! Gave a lot of mb riders a shock! We hope to have another
team entering this year. Entry forms (which have race information on), maps
etc. available at www.ssmm.co.uk.
