Welcome
To The Official UK Kickbike® Website
and Online Shop
If you like being
outdoors walking, cycling or other outdoor exercise then you will love Kickbikes. Riding Kickbikes is probably
the most enjoyable exercise you will ever do and as a bonus it gets you to work away from the traffic, to the shops,
or just gets you about for pleasure and exercise - but beware - it is addictive!
Kickbikes are not only the fastest and most elegant footbikes (scooters, push scooters, kick scooters) available
anywhere on the planet, but footbiking for commuting, exercise and as a competitive sport in its own right is one
of the fastest-growing activities in Europe and the States.
Kickbikes are designed for roads and cycle tracks but are legal on footpaths subject to local byelaws and your
common sense; so trips around town can use the nicest, most interesting and quietest routes. They are safe to ride
and very light (9kg), so carrying them up steps or over obstacles is easy. Very simple to maintain and the absence
of greasy bits means you can pretty much wear what you like.
You will get to work or the shops in town in about one third of the time it would take to walk, at similar overall
speeds to cycling. You can also cruise for longer distances at about 8-10mph on the flattish with little effort;
a 20mile trip at modest pace on flattish terrain takes about 2-21/2h for most people due to the outstanding rolling
characteristics of Kickbikes. Work uphill or step off and walk - downhill is fast!
For competitive athletes, Kickbikes provide a unique high-intensity training (or cross-training) machine. You get
muscle development similar to that achieved by both cycling and running, plus the aerobic intensity of running
but at very low impact and without the other injuries associated with running and cycling. Footbike racing is an
established international sport over 1km, 10km and marathon as well as 24h endurance races too - see Events
and Races.

"Thanks..It was so easy buying from you!"
Elspeth Corrigan - Another Happy Kicker
"I love my Kickbike and have great fun on it."
Robert Dymond
- Cyclist
The kickbike has more appeal to me...The physical motion is so pleasant; a "swoosh" with each stroke,
the relief you get when you hit a coasting section. And no sore bottom, neck or shoulders. I'm compelled to constantly
pedal the bicycle, constantly monitoring my speed and cadence, but I can just stop kicking and enjoy the ride on
the Kickbike. Overall, it's a nice, civilized way to get about. And I don't have to clean and lubricate the *****
chain!"
Kelly Iniguez
- Just likes being fit
"On a daily basis the Kickbike is more fun/freedom (than a bike). In previous years I have Kickbiked on clean
winter roads, which with our lack of snow has meant virtually all winter. As soon as the weather warmed up, it
was back on the bike. Now I've been having some seat related problems on the bike. This is the first year I have
not switched to the bike."
Garin Heibert - Just likes to keep fit
"A Kickbike is incredibly easy to use, so it was comfortable and fun immediately. The longest single stretch
on my commute was about two miles...I was down about 40lb after about a year of this type of commuting, covering
about 100 miles per month (that original Kickbike now has 3000 miles on it, and I have another with 600). Obviously
I was feeling better and better in terms of my health as the months went on. Over the years my commute has stayed
about the same distance and has become trivial in terms of effort.
I'm definately more fit than I was when I started. In my case I try to do all my commuting and as many local errands
as I can on a Kickbike. I don't think twice about it because it's much more a lifestyle for me now than just exercise."

"...popular and useful amongst the first timers. I was impressed with the build quality."
